It was just a fun weekend bake so I wasn’t concerned with looks. I did use 2% milk instead of buttermilk because that’s what I had so that may have been the issue.

Hi Julia, it would take some testing since it’s not always a 1:1 swap. You could use the jelly roll cake from this strawberries ‘n’ cream cake roll instead. Enjoy!

It was a lot of fun to make, though I know there were problems with the eggs and it got slightly overcooked. It was a bit dense and dry, but I think it will be better today. All and I’ll, I think I’ll make it again, maybe for Christmas this time.

It’s my go to gf Swiss roll since it works perfectly with 1/2 gluten free and 1/2 almond flour.
But I don’t love that the recipe has changed since last time even tho the pics and title are the same I thought I was going crazy. Still a great cake just confused me. Would love to still access the original.

Hi Roberta, it would take some testing since it’s not always a 1:1 swap. You could use the jelly roll cake from this strawberries ‘n’ cream cake roll instead, and use a different filling. Enjoy!
