I didn’t end up covering the bread halfway and got a lovely golden top (not too brown) I also used butter instead of oil because that’s what I had on hand. I love using your baking recipes, they are fail safe 🙂

Hi Kayla, those will work in a pinch, although the taste of the bread may change slightly. Vegetable oil or canola oil also work well.
